The stars were out in force last night for the People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles, with the cream of the music and acting worlds walking the red carpet. Johnny Depp turned up to collect his award from Brüno actor Sacha Baron Cohen for the Favourite Movie Actor of the Decade. Sandra Bullock won Favourite Movie Actress, while Hugh Jackman and Jim Carrey scooped the Action and Comedy Star awards respectively. Quentin Tarantino's Nazi revenge fantasy Inglourious Basterds also won big, with one of its stars, Diane Kruger, collecting the gong for Best Independent Movie, looking her usual effortlessly stylish self in a Hervé Léger by Max Azria mini dress. Hospital drama series House was the big winner in the television category, with Hugh Laurie bagging the Best Drama and Drama Actor awards. In music Lady Gaga topped off a hugely successful year winning two awards for Best Breakout and Pop Artist. Other winners included Eminem for Hip Hop Artist, Mariah Carey for R&B and Taylor Swift for Best Female Singer.
